Deliver locally-led climate resilience actions

  • Number of counties benefitting from Program-funded functioning resilience investments in the agriculture, environment, water, or other prioritized sectors (Number)
  • Participating counties that spend >50% of their approved budgeted CCRI Grant amount (Percentage)
  • Participating counties where at least 60% of the utilized CCRI Grant budget is spent on in climate-resilient action relevant to agriculture, environment, water, or other prioritized sectors  (Percentage, disaggregated by portion of allocation benefitting marginalized groups)

Program Outcomes

Strengthened government capacity to plan, budget, implement, track, and monitor climate mitigation and adaptation actions. At the county level, the two grants (CCIS and CCRI) are meant to enable the Counties to achieve a number of key performance targets in order to incentivize them to:  

  1. Deliver locally-led climate resilience actions,
  2. Strengthen the county governments’ capacity to manage climate risk, and
  3. Strengthen national government capacity to manage climate risk
